FLUFF BUTT: You can't understand me?!?!

Ok. Before I really start going on and on in my CDing terms
I should probably explain what it all means right?!?!
I've compiled a simple list of the terms that I will use most.
If you notice that I missed an important one,
please don't hesitate to let me know!

Thank You!!!

All-In-Ones (AIOs)~ A one piece fitted diaper with a waterproof outer layer. Similar to a disposable. The soaker is most often sewn into the diaper.

All- In Twos (AI2)~ Same as an AIO but the soaker is not attached in any way. You just lay it in the diaper when wearing.

Pocket Diapers~ A lot like AIOs or AI2s. Only difference is that they have a pocket in the back to stuff the inserts/doublers/pre-folds into. Popular since you can change the amount of absorbent material needed!

Diaper Covers~ Provide a waterproof outer cover for non-waterproof diapers.

Pre-Folds~ "Pre-fold diapers are rectangular shaped diapers that must be folded into the shape of a diaper. They are similar to flats, but have multiple layers with more layering in the middle. They often have 2-4 layers of absorbent material on either side and 6-8 layers in the middle. The amount of layers varies according to the size you choose, generally ranging from preemie to toddler. You may see a pre-fold described as being 4x8x4. This describes how many layers there are in the outer and inner sections: 4 layers in both outer sections and 8 layers in the inner or middle section. Pre-folds are usually the cheapest type of cloth diapers available. They must be used in conjunction with a cover." (Found at DiaperJungle.com)

Fitted Diaper~ Closely resembles a disposable diaper. They have elastic around the legs and back, and are fasten with velcro or snaps. Next step up from pre-folds.

Flats~ the"old-fashioned" diaper. Made of 100% cotton gauze, which dries quickly. Fit a large range of sizes.

Doubler~ "Doublers are pad-like absorbent soakers that can be added to a diaper to increase absorbency. They are especially useful during times when you know extra protection is needed, perhaps at night time." (Found at DiaperJungle.com)

Liners~ Thin layer of paper of cloth that are placed in the diaper to aid in the disposal of solids.

Prep~ When you receive your diapers you MUST prep them before use to make them absorbent. In order to do this, you must wash your diapers multiple times.

Strip~ Sometimes diapers get a soap build-up, causing stink issues. This is when you strip them. Most commonly done using a couple DROPS of Dawn cleaning detergent.

I learned most of this from DiaperJungle.com.
Check it out to learn even more!
