Christmas In July Day 7: Britax Marathon CS

Now that my child is nearing 20 pounds and outgrowing his infant seat, I have been doing a lot of research on convertible carseats. Law states that you must rear-face your child until they are 20 pounds AND 1 year of age. As a recommendation (after seeing this video), I would keep your child rear-facing until they hit the maximum rear-facing weight limit. In my research, I came across the Britax Marathon CS, which is one of my favorite.

Not only is it super cute, it's also extremely safe. The Marathon CS features side impact protection, the Click and Safe Technology, a five-point harness, and seatbelt or LATCH installation. It also features built in Lock-Offs so that the child does not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back. The energy-absorbing foam liner absorbs and distributes crash forces. The Marathon CS is rear-facing for children 5-35 lbs and forward facing for children 20 lbs AND 1 year up to 65 lbs.
