FLUFF BUTT: Bummis

When I first heard about people still CDing I imagined prefolds... and I was SCARED! :)
I couldn't imagine using JUST a square piece of fabric as a diaper.
But in keeping with the whole purpose of the Fluff Butt Event I knew that I should try them,
so I contacted Bummis.

Bummis was SUPER awesome enough to send me a 6 pack of the Organic prefolds in infant size, a medium Super Brite cover, a medium Super Whisper Wrap cover, a package of Bio-soft liners, and a Fabulous Wetbag for review purposes. One thing I really really love and appreciate about Bummis is all of the literature that they sent with the order. I had every bit of information that I needed at my fingertips. I followed the instructions for prep and get them ready for use.

The first fold I tried was the tri-fold. Super easy peasy pie. Just fold the prefold into thirds and place it in the cover. You can also stick a doubler in for night time use. This fold works extremely well for us... especially with the doubler for nights. The only con is that it is very bulky.

The other fold I use is the newspaper fold. Its like a grown-up version of the tri-fold... just folded to leave wings so wrap around babies body to snappi into place! This one is a bit complicated when you have a super wiggly nine month old.

At first I was very intimidated by the prefolds and stuck to the trifold stuffed into a cover. When this worked well I began to branch out. I've really come to love my Bummis prefolds with Bummis covers for overnight use. I NEVER have leaks with this combination... even if I forget the doubler.

Also, the Bummis Super Brite cover and Whisper Wrap cover are two of my very favorite CD covers. I love the thickness of the fabric. The Thirsties Duo feels very flimsy in comparision.

The Fabulous Wet Bag is everything it's name claims! Its fanflippintastic! I never have to worry about leakage. I love that it has a loop handle. My other wetbag does not feature any kind of handle and I've come to favor the Bummis one over it. I like that I can hang it up if need be.

All in all, I'm so impressed with Bummis. They're products are wonderfully made, fit fantastic, and I love that the covers have print options. I will definitely continue to use my prefolds... and stock up on smaller sizes for future babies <3 hehe.
