It's a...

Yesterday, Thursday, May 20th, I had my
Anatomy/Gender Scan at 18 weeks.
Hubby, Caden, and my parents were all
there to witness the wonderful  day :-D

Baby looks good, measuring two days ahead of our October 20th due date! The only hitch is a low lying placenta, so I will have another ultrasound at
30 weeks to make sure that it corrected itself!
Just another excuse to see our sweet baby!!

AND what we've all been waiting for....

Come October, Caden will have a little....

Wordless Wednesday

We recently got a new kitchen table... and Caden helped put it together!
Every move that my hubby made... Caden mimicked!

Safety 1st: Complete Air Convertible Carseat

I'm all about car safety. I'm terrified of what can happen in a car wreck, and knowing that Caden is safe in my backseat really puts my mind at ease. So when Safety 1st offered to let me review their new Complete Air convertible carseat, I jumped at the chance!
About The Complete Air™ Convertible Car Seat" The Safety 1st® Complete Air™ Convertible Car Seat with Air Protect™ Side Impact Technology is perfect for infants rear-facing from 5-40 pounds and 19"-40" and toddlers forward-facing from 22-50 pounds and 34"-45".
  • Air Protect™ Revolutionary Side Impact Technology: Breakthrough system shields head and immediately reduces side impact forces through the precise release of air.

  • QuickFit™ Harness System adjusts harness height from the front in one easy step without uninstalling from the car.

  • Harness accommodates children up to 50 pounds.

  • One Click LATCH installation system allows for faster and easier installation when moving between vehicles.

  • 5-position adjustable headrest easily accommodates your growing child.

  • Removable cup holder.

  • MSRP $179.99 at Babies"R"Us, Target, Walmart, Sears, and other fine retailers. "
Our Thoughts
The carseat arrived within a few days in a HUGE box. I was immensly pleased when I took it out of the box and discovered that there was no assembly required (aside from a removable cupholder). Very easy when your 1 year old likes to help!

The Air Protect was also extremely easy to install in both our SUV and car. (we tried both!) When installing, you have two options. You can install using your cars seatbelt or with the Latch System. Being intemidated by the Latch System, I always opt for the seatbelt, but I did look at the Latch System and instructions and it's EXTREMELY easy. Just two clicks and your ready to go! It was also very easy to install using the seatbelt, just slip it through, tighten, and GO!

Also, make sure to adjust your childs 5-point harness according to their height and seat position before use! When rear-facing the shoulder strap should start below their shoulder height. When forward-facing, the shoulder strap should begin at or right above shoulder level. Please remember that all children under 20 lbs AND under 1 year of age should remain rear-facing!

I was a little worried that the side impact head shield would bother Caden's view of the outside world, causing him to pitch a fit. This did not prove a problem whatsoever. He was very content with what he could still see, and I felt safe having the extra protection in the event of a side impact accident!

All-in-all, I am very pleased with the Safety 1st® Complete Air™ Convertible Car Seat with Air Protect™ Side Impact Technology . It is extremely safe, easy on the eyes, and provides great protection for my little one. I highly recommend it to all parents!

Let's get it started... HA!

So in 1 week and 3 days I will have my anatomy scan...
which means I will be finding out this BEAUTIFUL baby's gender!!!
I'm so excited... I can't stand it.
So I decided to post my belly picture here.
SOOO what do you think.
Is this baby a boy or a girl?

EDITED:
I have edited to add a photo of me pregnant with Caden at 22 weeks...
it is after the photo of my current pregnancy!

PREGNANT WITH CADEN (22 weeks):

I can't decide if I'm carrying differently, I did get alot sicker alot sooner this time. With Caden I didn't get sick until around 13 weeks and it only lasted a week or two. This time I was sick from week 8 until week 15. (blech!)

CSN Stores

As you can imagine, I'm absolutely OBSESSED with looking at baby items right now. It doesn't matter that not much has changed since Caden was born... I need new and better!! :) The baby will be needing a new crib, not to mention Caden is going to need an awesome booster seat soon!

I love this oval crib! It's sooo different... perfect for if I have a little girl!

Little Miss Liberty Crystal Round Crib

I'd totally go for this one if we're having another boy! I LOVE sleigh beds/cribs!

DaVinci Kalani 4-in-1 Convertible Crib

This is the Mutsy Booster Seat that Caden will be getting soon, so that Baby #2 can take over the high chair!

Make sure to check back often
as I will be featuring a review of
the Mutsy Grow Up Booster seat
