Soda Stream Review and Giveaway

My husband is a pop junkie.
Seriously.
J-U-N-K-I-E.

The amount of pop that we go through, the bottles and cans I see wasted, the amounts of money that I spend on it... is TERRIBLE. He would drink at least a 2-liter or half a 12 pack a night if I let him. That's why when I found Sodastream I was super excited! Pop that I can EASILY make in my own home, with reusable bottles, and I don't even have to go anywhere?!?! Count me in!

I received the Penguin soda machine, soda sampler, bottles of root beer and ginger ale flavoring, and a set of sparkling water flavoring for review purposes. I was sooo excited when I received the package in the mail! I pulled it out right away and read through everything... but I have to admit that I was afraid of the c02 bottle. :D So I waited until my hubby got home to put it together and try it out. It was extremely easy to set up and use.
We used all of the flavors in the sample pack and we're pleasantly surprised at the taste! I couldn't tell the difference between Sodastream and other major Soda retailers! The only thing I recommend is to go light on the co2 pump... you can always add more carbonation... but too much and the batch is ruined! Our favorite flavoring was the root beer... I could seriously drink it all day! So you can imagine my excitement when I found out that our local Sears carries some of the flavors! (including the root beer :D )

Kolcraft for a Cause!

I'm sure by now everyone has heard about the Haiti earthquake. So unbelievably sad... so much devastation.

Well Kolcraft has teamed up with KIDS relief fund to help the children of Haiti!

Goodness if you had only known HOW crazy our lives have been the last couple of months! We've moved into our new home in the last couple of weeks and things are finally settled down enough that I feel comfortable getting back to the blogging world :)
