REVIEW: LittleMissMatched

I recently was given the opportunity to work with LittleMissMatched.
Such a cute company with wonderfully AWESOME products! They have everything that you could ever think you need!
Check out their Bed In a Bag sets! It includes 1 reversible comforter, 2 half and half sheets (how cool is that!!!), 3 reversible pillowcases, and a bed skirt. They have every room accersory available to match and come in sizes twin, full and queen. At prices of $90-$110 (depending on size) with free shipping, it's not bad at all! I just wish that I had a little girl, or even two, so that I can decorate their room with this set! (And don't even get me started on the furniture they offer. You can have a completely LittleMissMatched room!!)
I also love their clothing lines! They offer womans, mens, boys and girls, AND infants! Everything is SOO colorful! My favorite part? Anything that has pairs (ex: socks, gloves, ect) comes in 3 completely different patterns with the same color palate! That way if you lose one, you still have another that (sorta) matches!

We received the baby socks Mixter 1-9. There is 9 different dark orange, light orange, blue, and green socks in different patterns to mix and match. The patterns in this set are stripes and dinorsaurs. Very boyish for my little man! Such a great product when you live in a house full of boys. Especially now that Z is watching CBug on Thursdays ALL BY HIS SELF! I can just tell him to dress him in whatever and that the socks are in the (super cute) dispensor on Caden's dresser! I also love that the socks are non-skid (great for when Caden decides he wants to walk) and they are soo soft! They are 200 needle count, meaning super soft and made to last!

We are super impressed with LittleMissMatched and can't wait to order some new items from them! I really want to get Cade this SUPER CUTE kimono set (currently marked down to $15!)!!
ALSO make sure to check out their flipflops! They are only $5 while supplies last! (originally $16!)

Winner... Winner! We have TWO WINNERS!

And the winner of the HappyBaby Giveaway is....

REVIEW/GIVEAWAY: Mama Runs With Scissors

I'm such an addict.
I'm addicted to:
LinkInternet.
Shopping.
LinkEtsy.
Baby stuff.
Mama Runs With Scissors.
I love shopping for my little man. Especially when I find things that are different. I hate when I show up to the mall and see 10 other baby boys wearing the same thing as CBug. That's why I love Mama Runs With Scissors. She has super cute, non-cookie cutter outfits for boys and girls! I love her Kool Kid Legs, tutus, and applique tees... and I love that you can buy the items in "combos" for better deals! (Tutu and Kool Kid Legs, applique tee and Kool Kid Legs, ect.)
We were lucky enough to receive a pair of the Kool Kid Legs in black and gray stripe with a cool skull design. They are super cute... I mean MANLY. hehe. (Hubby keeps calling them CBug's pantyhose. gr.) Caden and I like them alot though! Especially now that we've started Cloth Diapering I love seeing his little booty rolling around in just a diaper and Kool Kid Legs!
Not only are they SUPER cute but they are also very well made also! I've washed them many, many times now and no loose seams, no shrinkage, and no fading! When you have a child with reflux problems, you're always on the lookout for well-made products that withstand A LOT of washing! Now, for some AWESOME news... Mama Runs With Scissors is giving you the opportunity to try out her Kool Kid Legs! The winner of this giveaway will have their choice of design!

REVIEW/GIVEAWAY: The Boy's Store

>>>PLEASE UPDATE WHAT YOU TWEET TO:<<<
Win an outfit and $25 GC from @theboysstore
@1sttimearound
http://twurl.nl/s5jirl

I promised a BOYS ONLY review and giveaway....
AND HERE IT IS!!!
The Boy's Store is an awesome online store JUST FOR BOYS. It was started by Suzanne, a mom who was frustrated with "trying to find fun, durable clothing for boys that were not the boring standard items found at mass retailers." As a reluctant online shopper herself, she designed the store to provide as much information as possible, answers all questions, and will even measure garments to ensure a great fit! You can choose from shopping by age, item, or brand. She also offers specials, including one for parents of multiples!
"I am a trained dressmaker. I spent several years working in a small dress shop making tailored suits. Quality, durability and fit are very important. I try to choose clothing that is fun and funky but also try to provide choices for those moms who love to have matching outfits as well as get classic pieces such as plain polos... I welcome suggestions." (Suzanne)
( If you can see it...
Caden decided to be mean and spit up...
right before our photo shoot. :( booo )

Suzanne sent me the Ready, Set, Go Bermuda Short and Shirt Set by Kissy Kissy. She chose this particular item because it is from one of her favorite brands! They make a whole collection of mix and match pieces, perfect for any new mom! They have everything from a cardigan to jeans, receiving blanket, and hat to match his set. They even have a burp cloth! Caden has worn the set a few times now and I love it! Even though it is a two piece set, it's very easy to put on due to the two snaps in the front of the shirt. (I HATE when shirt have snaps in the back. CBug really does not like to be flipped back and forth just so that I can put his shirt on!) The outfit is very well made and still looks brand new after a few washings! (I also HATE when outfits fade with the first wash... making it look like you've had the outfit FOREVER.)
(Look how cute the shirt looks with his Snap-Ez Eco!)
(Don't forget The Fluff Butt Event begins September 6th! EK!)

I have really enjoyed working with Suzanne and The Boy's Store. She's sooo sweet and extremely helpful. She really cares about her customers!

She's also extremely GENEROUS! She has donated the same set that we have received in a size 12 month for giveaway, along with a $25 gift code!

To Win:

~ you must leave each entry in a separate comment in order for them to count!

Review: Pebble.com

I'm a certifiable SHOPAHOLIC. seriously. It's so bad that at one point Z threatened to take my debit card to work with him. (and all I could think was... "ok that leaves me the checkbook, extra checkbooks, and ID to withdraw money so how does that stop me :) " heehee)

I still carry a deep LOVE for shopping but have gotten way more thrifty since having Caden. I'm addicted to coupons and ALWAYS try to find the best deal. Which is where Pebble.com comes in.

Pebble.com is "a search-based online shopping comparison site that has a Q&A forum integrated in each product results page so users can ask other users questions about a particular product and get an answer right away. Most consumers make purchase decisions without getting all the information they need, which is a huge detriment in our current economy. But with Pebble.com users can get all the information they need to buy products and shop for the lowest prices online."
Pebble.com is awesome! I wanted to test it out... So i decided to search for our last big purchase, a nice umbrella stroller! We bought the Joovy Kooper in Appletree at Babies-R-Us at $199.99. I learned many things from my search. First of all, there is a variety of prices for the stroller, ranging from $50 cheaper than I purchased it for to $100 more expensive! I also found out that there is a rain cover and a travel case! So awesome, since lately we've been doing quite a bit of traveling! The search also gave me the information that it has a 5-point harness, can hold children 26-50 lbs, prices, and where to locate!

I also asked a question. When I purchased the stroller I didn't really think about it not having a snack tray. I asked Pebble.com if there is one available. It popped up with a message letting me know that my question will be reviewed shortly. I will let you know their response when I receive it. So far I have not been able to find a snack tray on my own.

All-in-all I think that Pebble.com is a great site! I will definitely be checking it for prices BEFORE I make purchases from now on!

(p.s. And yes, I love this stroller also...)

I leave you with a question.
Leave your answer in the comment section.
How do you save money?

Review: FlexFlops

I LOVE shoes. LOVE them. As in "surf the internet, drool over them, and then find someway to own them." Heels, boots, sandals, flip flops, tennies. ANY KIND!

So I was very excited to get the opportunity to review something new in the shoe world, FLEXFLOPS!
LinkWhy was I so excited? Well not only because they are shoes, but because they offer emergency comfort from shoes (heehee). Although I LOVE shoes, and I love heels, I'm not very good at wearing them. I collect stilletos but have maybe clocked in 24 hours in each pair. No that does not mean I've only worn them for 24 hours. It means that I wore them for 1 hour and then decided my feet were KILLING me 24 times. Normally when that happens I go barefoot or run into the closest store to buy the cheapest pair of flippies I can find.

NOT ANYMORE now that I've found FlexFlops! These super cute sandals fold in half into their own little case! So easy to slip them into your purse for emergency heel use or even for when you get a pedicure! They come in many different colors, 3 different fabrics (twill, terry, and ), and with or without bling! Each pair also comes with a matching case.
I was sent the Pedicure Please pair in white terry for use while at BlogHer! What a lifesaver, cus you KNOW that I tried to wear heels while I was with the girls and baby-less! I guess my feet did not get the memo because even my mild kitten heels made my toes whine! It was sooo easy to whip them out and relax my feet! They're super cute, comfy, and with prices starting at $18.00 they are affordable!(My sis needs these for her wedding next July!!!)

"Stacey Kirsch is a Los Angeles based shoe designer who began her career during her post-graduate program in product development at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. One night out, she witnessed her friend's ditch their fabulous and painful 4" heels to walk barefoot. The girls were unfazed by the sticky floors, broken glass and overall grime under their feet. Kirsch set out to solve this epidemic of footwear emergencies. She thought about how great it would be to have an "emergency" pair of flip-flops, for last minute pedicures, spa, travel and tired feet...And the rest as they say is history. "
(How cute is this?!?! Makes me want a child old enough to go to camp!)

I love them, celebs love them, my sisters loved them, and I know that YOU ALL will love them too!

(I will be posting pictures tomorrow :( I forgot my camera at my Mom's!!)

The Big Announcement!

Boy Mommies: Don't Be Jealous!

I have an all boys giveaway
that I will be posting
within the next couple of days!

Make sure to check back often!

Giveaway: Rockin' Ella Grace

Mommies to girls, have I ever told you how jealous I am that you get to deal with ribbons and bow, glitz and glamour. Seriously. I want that, I'm made for it and I told Z that were not stopping the baby train until I'm there! hehe.

I'm also INSANELY jealous of this giveaway.
Rockin' Ella Grace is the epitomy of ALL THINGS GIRL.

Rockin' Ella Grace was started by a stir-crazy SAHM of two beautiful children, Ella and Haven, who "needed something to do that didn't involve playing "monsters" with her son or singing songs from "Yo Gabba Gabba"". With a brand new little girl to dress and a love of boutique bows and tutus, Lisa decided to give it all a try. "In the begining I wasn't planning to make them for anyone other than her, but I found that I really enjoy making them and it kind of feeds my need to find "an outside job" (because I really do LOVE staying at home with my kids!) I really want to offer my customers boutique quality accessories at a more affordable price".

Everytime I look at her products, I have to talk myself out of buying everything "to put up just in case"! Everything is sooooo cute and well made. Lisa is currently celebrating the opening of her new site for Rockin' Ella Grace!! Also check out her blog! She hand-makes and sells everything from tutus to beautiful Korker Bows, Pinwheel Bows, and Ribbon Flowers. She also offers a SUPER cute skinny woven headband for older girls, and has crochet beanies and headbands available!

Rockin' Ella Grace has graciously offered a Princess dress for giveaway!
Perfect photo prop or even everyday wear for your little princess!

The winner will receive a Princess tutu dress in hot pink and white, similiar to the one pictured above and below, in a size 0-6 month or 6-12 month.
(Winner may choose.)

Momma wants some Piggy Paint!

Now that my Piggy Paint giveaway is over, check out The Mommy Homemaker!
She also has a Piggy Paint giveaway going on!

Check her out here!

driving me BATty...

We had some excitement tonight.
Actually I had alot of excitment tonight.
I'm still shaking.
Let me set the scene...

I was just sitting here, innocently on my computer. Caden was laying on his playmat asleep... I randomly looked up and there was a hug bat flying around the room!!!

I grabbed a tupperwear box next to me and put it over my head, grabbed caden and ran!!!! Zac was at my neighbors hanging out so I went and got him, gave them caden and came back for my kitty!

Zac was swatting around at it with a baseball bat. He "thinks" it flew out but isn't sure. He banged around the house and shut all doors. but i was still FREAKING out!

I sat there for a while and didn't hear or see anything (other than a MONSTER spider. Which ran when I tried to kill it. It's still alive. In my house. i HATE spiders.) ANYWAYS, I didn't see/hear anything so I resumed living...

ONLY...
The bat was NOT gone!
Zac had gone back to the neighbors, Caden was back on his playmat asleep, and I was back on the computer. AND THE MONSTER DIVEBOMBED ME!!!! i'm still shaking. I somehow forgot the baseball bat sitting right next to me too! I yanked Caden outta slumberland and ran screaming. Seriously. I screamed loud. and i hear the neighbor go...

"Um Zac, I think she knows you didn't get the bat"

grrrrr.

good news... He got it this time. and without killing it.

Review/Giveaway: HappyBaby Products

Recently Caden reached a (what I believe to be) huge milestone!
He is eating solids!
We started him out with cereals and are now slowly
working our way through fruits and vegetables!
Being as obsessed about being ready for Caden's birth as I was, I bought the first can of baby cereal before he was born. I happened to have a coupon for $1.00 off of HappyBaby's HappyBellies rice cereal, good at Babies-R-Us. (A store I was obsessed with at the time :) ) So I picked it up and stuck it in my cupboard, waiting for the day Caden would need it.
Fast forward a few months. Caden was diagnosed with reflux and the doctor wanted me to put cereal in his bottles to help the formula stick. What did I have waiting for me?!?!
HappyBaby's HappyBellies Rice Cereal!!
Fast forward once again to an empty can and a desperate mother. I sent my husband out for baby cereal and what did I get? The old school gerber cereal box. Not organic. No DHA. Let me tell you, that night was the only night Caden had it. It is still sitting in my cupboard.
The next day I stocked up on HappyBaby's HappyBellies cereal! No seriously. I think I still have 5 cans of it to use! They have three kinds. Organic Brown Rice, Organic Oatmeal, and Organic Multi-Grain cereals. I am the proud owner of all three!(The first cereal experience! In his BRAND NEW highchair!)

Can I tell you how EXCITED I was when I was given the chance to review the HappyBaby's brand?!?! It's the first time I get to review a product that I already use and LOVE! What do I love about it? For starters, I love that it is organic and 100% natural. I also really like that it has DHA and PROBIOTIC PROTECTION! (It is the ONLY organic baby cereal with both probiotic protection and DHA. My babies development is top of the list important to me!) I also like that it is endorsed by noted pediatrician and author, Dr. Bob Sears. But most of ALL, I like that Caden loves it. It must tastes good, because he gobbles it up!I also love HappyBaby's mission statement:
"We are dedicated to the proposition that a healthy baby is a HAPPYBABY.
Every baby is born pure, perfect and full of potential.
Your precious one merits the best care possible.
During those first months when baby is growing in leaps and bounds,
we want to help you ensure that you are feeding your child
the very best."
(They sent it to me in this styrofoam box filled with dry ice! How cool is that!)

I was sent many items to review by HappyBaby. Since Caden is only 5 months old, he is still only on their cereal. Please check back for reviews on their Frozen HappyBaby Simple Purees (6 months+), Frozen HappyBites Sorta Chunky meals (9+ months), and HappyBaby's Organic Bellies & Puffs Snacks (3 flavors!!)! I will post a review each time he reaches a new meal stage!

HappyBaby also has generously offered products for a giveaway. The winner will receive:
2 free trial coupons for HappyBellies organic cereal
2 free trial coupons for the HappyBaby frozen meals
and 2 free trial coupons for the Organic Bellies&Puffs snacks.
They will also receive:
1 infant and toddler Nutrition Guide co-authored by Dr. Sears
1 FAQ on Probiotics & DHA
1 HAPPYFAMILY Recipes

REVIEW: CSN Stores

A few weeks ago, I told you all to look forward to a review of CSNstores.com.
Well, guess what?!?!
It's here!!!

Had you heard of csnstores.com before reading The First Time Around?
I actually found it through another mommyblogger, and let me tell you...
I owe her a HUGE thank you!!

CSN stores have EVERYTHING you are looking for. With 200+ specialty shops, how could they not? Their shops range from CSNStores.com to Luggage.com to BedroomFurniture.com and even to Strollers.com! The contents of the stores are amazing also! You can find everything from high chairs at CSNbaby to gorgeous chandeliers at CSNlighting!

According to the website, CSN stores is taking the world by storm! "Based in Boston, CSN Stores LLC began in 2002 and has grown rapidly into a Top 3 online U.S. retailer of home and office goods with 400+ employees. Beyond providing unparalleled selection and customer service to our U.S. customers, CSN Stores has opened its doors to online shoppers from Canada and the United Kingdom, as well. Recently, CSN was named to the Hot 100 List of online retailers for 2009."

We were lucky enough to receive the Step2 Push Around Buggy in red for the review. I worked with Tyler on setting up and receiving everything and I'll have you know... what a great guy! He was so kind and worked extremely fast! Another thing that impressed me was the speed at which they got the Buggy to me! I received an invoice in my email saying that it was shipped out on July 9th and would arrive before the 12th. We were set to leave for a wedding and Florida on the 12th so I was a little sad that I wouldn't get to check it out beforehand! BUT much to my delight, the next day there was a HUGE box at my front door. Caden's Push Around Buggy had already arrived! (It was shipped FedEx Ground!)

LinkLink(Ready to Roll!)

All in all, I am so completely impressed with CSN stores, from their friendly representative to the wonderful customer service and who can forget the variety of products! I'm already looking forward to shopping with CSNstores.com next month when we move into our new house!
