Christmas In July Day 7: Britax Marathon CS

Now that my child is nearing 20 pounds and outgrowing his infant seat, I have been doing a lot of research on convertible carseats. Law states that you must rear-face your child until they are 20 pounds AND 1 year of age. As a recommendation (after seeing this video), I would keep your child rear-facing until they hit the maximum rear-facing weight limit. In my research, I came across the Britax Marathon CS, which is one of my favorite.

Not only is it super cute, it's also extremely safe. The Marathon CS features side impact protection, the Click and Safe Technology, a five-point harness, and seatbelt or LATCH installation. It also features built in Lock-Offs so that the child does not move more than one inch side-to-side or front-to-back. The energy-absorbing foam liner absorbs and distributes crash forces. The Marathon CS is rear-facing for children 5-35 lbs and forward facing for children 20 lbs AND 1 year up to 65 lbs.

Do you love to cook? Maybe baking is your thing?

Me. I do neither. Hamberhelper and frozen pizza's are heaven sent to me.
It's not that I don't want to be all wifely
and the best mommy a boy could have by making them three course meals.
It's more that my mother is an AMAZING cook, so I never felt the need to learn.

BlogHer: Like Prom only Worse... hehe

If you've been following me for more than a few days now, you would know that I will be attending the BlogHer conference in Chicago this week. I am now at T minus 31ish hours and I cannot wait to hit the dusty trail. ( well I guess, NO I know, it's not dusty but come one now...)

As you can imagine, being as obsessive about anything that I'm excited about, I have spent countless hours thinking about what to do, wear, pack, ect. I would say it has taken over my being, lol.

Before I show you what I'm packing so far, I need some insight. Especially from anyone who has been there/is going to BlogHer. My question is about changing outfits. (This will probably be done multiple times a day by me ;) ) OK, the thing is, the last session of the day ends RIGHT before the official BlogHer cocktail party. Do you wear what you plan to wear to the cocktail party to the last session? Or do you run and get ready, and arrive fashionably late?!?! I don't want to miss anything exciting... bbbuttt I want to look HOT!

I'm such a girlie girl, I SQUEALED (hehe sorry I couldn't resist) with delight when I received:~ my "Girls Rule!" nail polish

They are so cute! I don't have a daughter, so I got the joy of testing out this product on... MYSELF! (Yippee!) In order to do so, I needed to remove my nail salon pedicure... Bring on the sandblaster right? Wrong! The Piggy Paint nail polish remover took it right off and best of all, I didn't get a headache from remover fumes! (There is a slight smell but nothing like my Sally Hensen Polish Remover) I then painted both my nails (fresh from acrylic nail removal) and toenails in the cute pinkish purple paint. Sadly (I believe due to my damage nails) the polish on my fingers only lasted a few days but two weeks later, my toenails still look FAB! I love the color too! Even though the line was made with girls in mind, as a woman and mom, I will totally be sporting my Piggy Polish!

Christmas In July Day 1: Dropps Laundry Pacs

I ALWAYS have to stand there and rinse the lid out after I pour the detergent in. This cut out that time! Also no big bulky bottle sitting on my dryer! These are actually pretty cute! Also the clothes came out looking like any other detergent I use. No residue was left, just a nice clean (mild) scent!

Eebee: Coming Soon!

Have you all checked out Eebee?!?! What awesome stuff for mommy and baby. It's a line of dvds, books, and toys for baby, but the dvd really has some awesome ideas for mommy! Stay tune for my dvd review in the next couple of weeks!

I am Going!!!

Well its official! Holly (The Cloth Diaper Experiment) and I are going to the BlogHer Convention in Chicago next weekend! Well actually we've got tickets to LobbyCon (we were late in even finding out about it!) but its almost the same lol! Anywho, we've got our tickets, booked our hotel, and thinking about what to pack!

Now I need to go buy some business cards!!!!!!

Yesterday I visited my local target, browsing the sales and checking the clearance rounders!

Tara totally Rocked my Blog!

If you've visited my blog at all since yesterday afternoon you should have noticed a HUGE difference! (if you haven't visited, get your butt over here and check me out!) "Why?!?!", you ask? BECAUSE I'M SUPER PRETTY NOW! and it's all thanks to Tara over at Blog Makeovers By Tara!

Goodness Gracious, this girl rocks! I had such a great time working with her, she kept me updated every single step of the way.
I started out by picking out a design kit that I liked
and filled out a form on her site.
She then contacted me with any questions that I didn't answer on the form,
asked me what I had in mind,
helped me on a few things that I had no clue how to do,
and gave me an estimate on when everything would be done.

She even sent me a testblog link THREE times along the way, so that I could see the progress and okay everything!

One of the coolest, and most important, thing to me was that it only took 3 days start to finish. This included: shooting emails back and forth on ideas,
a day off for Tara to become a landed immigrant in Canada (CONGRATS GIRL!),
and installation!

I can't say enough about working with Tara, or her work. Really, It speaks for itself and it says "Freaking Awesome!!"

Dablings Tutti Frutti Minky Blanket

As a mother and (self-proclaimed) Fashionista, I am ALWAYS on the look-out for a cute but practiable blanket for my baby boy! That's why I knew, from the moment I received Dabling's Minky Tutti-Frutti Blanket in Blue dot, that this was a blanket that both me and C Bug would both love!

Growing up, my littlest sister was 8 years younger than me, so I remember a lot of her baby years. One thing that I always thought was sooo cute was that she had a lovey. When I found out I was pregnant I was bound and determined that C would have a lovey too! But my child could care less about the fifteen hundred stuffed animals we bought him, he just wants blankets! You should see him with his Minky Cuddle Buddy Blanket! He's always grabbing at it and cuddling up to it. I'm pretty sure that it has something to do with the textures
of its two sides, but I'm pretty sure that my baby has found his "blankie".

(this is definitely Caden LOVE)

Not only does Caden love it, but Mommy does too! First of all, I love how gorgeous this blanket is. It has the beautiful soft chenille side, and the other side is a super cute, light weight cotton poly blend fabric that is ribbed/embossed and cool to the touch. It's perfect for our Indiana nights, when you dont know if it will be hot or cool. Another awesome blanket bonus is that it's completely machine washable, which is always great when you have a child with reflux!

We've been using the Dabling's Minky Blanket for two weeks now and you can't even tell! Most of my blankets have faded and frayed easily with my constant washing. This one, you CAN'T even tell!!! It still looks like I received it yesterday!

His screaming habit... He really only does it when he's hungry and wants his food NOW!

How he is with Caden. I dont think that I really expected him to "take an interest" while Caden was in his baby stage.

Just with my family in general. I love being a mommy, being married to my Hubbers, and being close with my parents and siblings.

My messy house.

Favorite part of the day?

The mornings. Caden usually wakes up and is sssssuuuppperr happy. Such a smiley little boy. I then feed him, burp him, and lay him on his playmat. He could lay there and play forever lol! And I get things done!

I'm a good artist. drawing and photography are my favorites! (betch you didnt know that one huh?) Yep, I'm actually an art major! (and received scholarships for it!) ok, done tooting my own horn lol.
